But my biggest concern about leaving the LA County is 93.5 K-Day. 93.5 is the greatest radio station ever. It's all back in the day jams - and by back in the day I mean it's literally all of our jams from college and high school, 2pac, Biggie, RKelly, L'il Kim. Non-stop all f'ing day. It's amazing and it's hard not to get insanely HYPE when Regulate comes on, even with a baby in the car. I've literally driven past my house on accident several times due to the hypeness of the song they were playing. Unfortunately once you leave LA county, that sh*t gets staticky and no matter how bad$$ "I got 5 on it" may make you feel, the staticky interruption of mexican music is a total game killer. Long Beach is the last place you can hear 93.5 before you slip into Orange County and have to trade Dr. Dre for Brittany Spears. There's one small town right after Long Beach we considered moving to. It's called Seal beach - it's a tiny surfing community, family-friendly but still cool, 93.5 broadcasts here and there's enough good food to keep me from whining. Unfortunately, a couple weeks ago, Seal Beach had to come off the list. See, I thought I had calmed down after becoming a mom. I'm rarely pissed off - I don't fly off the handle the way I used to in Chicago. Granted a lot of that has to do with being sober, being in SoCal and getting older. Or so I thought. Turns out, the more sh*t changes the more it stays the same. I was leaving our sushi joint in Seal Beach one night when a car turned into the parking lot all crazily. I just did my usual, "um, seriously??" hand gesture and waited to leave. Do you know that this motherf*cker rolled own his window, flipped me off and started shouting at me? For no reason. I was stunned. Chicago Tuni would have followed his ass home and murdered his pets while he wept into his sh*tty sushi. But SoCal Tuni is different. She has 93.5 "Back in The Day" FM. It keeps her calm. I just turned up the beats and drove home, smiling when I saw the "entering LA County, population 9.8 million" sign. Yeah, I can't do the OC.

So fresh, So clean
Can't even believe how fast time is flying. I have a 6 month old - wtf!!! Jose and I are trying to figure out our next move - we're living in a 1 bedroom with a kid right now like some straight up immigrants. Her sh*t is everywhere and it's starting to get annoying. Too bad I need to figure out my next job before we can go anywhere. You know I'm such a city girl but the more and more I think about it the more I feel like LA is a really hard place to have a baby in and Orange County just seems waaay easier. Anytime I meet my LA peeps for brunch I need to call ahead and find out about parking, find out if they have a high-chair etc. Then I need to time feedings and naps so there is no drama at the restaurant. The handful of times we've hung out in the OC, we just let Kali wile the f* out since it's so kid-friendly and there are babies everywhere. And it's not crying that I worry about it's the strange noises she makes since she discovered her "voice". For example, I'm having brunch in Beverly Hills with the girls and Kali starts making these weird groaning noises. GAAAARRRRRRRHHHHHHHHHHGGGGGGGHHHHHHUUUUUUHHHHH. Nonstop. For 5 minutes. I'm totally mortified and just wishing I could teleport to some sh*tty chain restaurant in the OC. Like, if I was at the Olive Garden right now, this would be a non-issue. I'd be asking for more breadsticks over the GAAARRRHHHGGGGHHHUUHHH sound.

Hahaha. I think Mom tuni will have to learn how to cuss less when Kali starts repeating everyword she says :0) Much like how my nephew said to the old woman in the grocery store..."Move bitch get out the way!"
