So now that ive had a solid 2 weeks off life to just chill, i am starting to get pissed about the women's rights movement. these b*tches ruined my life. I could have EASILY been doing this major chilling for YEARS while jose worked. After 2 weeks of being a Stay At Home Wife (not to be confused with a Stay At Home Mom, those women actually have to do sh*t), I'm slowly becoming the person jose fell in love with 10 years ago, down for anything, happy all the time and incapable of nagging. Clearly me + work do not go together. Work makes me an evil bitch. It's really hard to be laid back with the daily minutia of life such as laundry, groceries, visiting people you feel obligated to see but may or may not even like, etc when you have a full time job. You are SO protective of your free time. Every weekend there would be intense negotiations on how we would be spending our precious 48 hours of downtime. My agenda was typically: hang in LA, laundry, groceries, movies. Jose list: Surf, weed. Left to him we would just buy new clothes when clean laundry runs out and just use disposible plates / eat out of the take out bag. You can imagine the nagging that has taken place over the years. But not anymore! everyday is the weekend for me and it is amazing! Do you have any idea how naps during the day can change your life?? I mean, the pursuit of happiness should have never been sold to us as the pursuit of wealth. That is just dumb! why do you want nice things if you can't even enjoy them since your a$$ is so tired from all the non-napping in your life?? I am all for living like it's the 60's, none of this dual income nonsense, none of this bringing home the proverbially bacon AND having to cook that sh*t. I am over it!! But, unfortuantely life in the US is no longer priced accordingly, because of these dumb a$$ b*tches that asked for equal rights, we know have to work otheriwse we are going to be some welfare-collecting m*thefuckers and I like sushi way too much to be a broke-a$$. Had women never have forced their way into the workforce, we would all be surving just fine on our spouse's income. Corporate america would see that the average household income is $40K and would price sh*t accordingly so we'd be all good. But unfortunately, because women forced women to work, a single income household has to buy generic food brands in bulk and vacation in their backyard just to make ends meet. You cannot live a fab, jet-setting lifestyle with 1 income unless that income belongs to someone with MD after their name and seriously who wants to be married to a dr. anyway, you may as well be single. So now when my maternity leave ends and those disabilty checks run out (thank you state of California, you rock!!) my ass will have to go back to work. This is on top of caring for a child, trying to look stunning and spending time with my husband that doesn't include laundry, groceries and wild trips to home depot. Damn those women, I never asked for this!!
